The Ola S1 and S1 Pro Electric Scooters can be pre-ordered from 8th September onwards. Everything is done completely online, from the comfort of your own home. This means that you don’t need to visit any showrooms or run around. The earlier you order, the earlier you will receive your electric scooter. Also, the window will only be open as long as stock lasts.
It’s amazing how seamless a digital purchase can be! Here are the complete details of the purchase process and the subsidy.
5 Things to Keep in Mind:
- If you have reserved your Ola Electric Scooter earlier, you can purchase it earlier. It is on a first-reserved, first-served basis.
- Once you are ready for payment, you will be notified via email.
- You can modify your color/variant before paying.
- You can either pay in advance or choose the EMI or Loan options (details given below)
- Immediately after the payment, you will get notified about your delivery date.
Choose your Favorite Variant and Color:
If you have reserved your Ola Scooter, head over to your account at Olaelectric.com. There are two variants to choose from – the Ola S1 and Ola S1 Pro, each available in 10 vibrant colors and two finishes. Even the variant and the color can be changed if the user wants.
Pay for your Ola Electric Scooter:
The Ola Financial Services (OFS) has a variety of flexible, best-in-class loan options for you to choose from. If you want to purchase your Ola S1, you can even pay in advance.
You can finance your Ola S1 with OFS (Ola Financial Services), which has partnered with top banks such as IDFC First Bank, HDFC, and TATA Capital. There are two EMIs available: INR 2999 (for Ola S1) and INR 3199 (for Ola S1 Pro).
Pre-approved loans are available to eligible Ola and Ola Electric customers in minutes through HDFC Bank. IDFC First Bank and Tata Capital will process digital KYC and provide instant approval of loans to eligible customers.
To ensure a seamless process, make sure you have your Aadhaar, Pan Card, and Proof of Address handy.
Alternatively, if you do not need financing, you can just pay a deposit of Rs. 20000 for Ola S1 or Rs. 25000 for Ola S1 Pro and the rest will be charged when we invoice you for your scooter.
Should you wish to cancel your reservation, both your down-payment and advance are completely refundable. However, cancellation is not permitted after the scooter has been shipped from the Ola Future Factory.
Purchase Insurance for your Ola Electric Scooter:
Ola and Ola Electric Apps allow you to insure your Ola S1. A comprehensive vehicle insurance policy is offered by our insurance partner, ICICI Lombard. It is mandatory for registrants to have a minimum of a 1-year Own Damage policy and a 5 year Third Party policy. Moreover, you can also add Personal Accident Cover, Zero Depreciation, and Roadside Assistance to your policy.
Test Ride your Ola Electric Scooter:
Starting in October 2021, you will be able to test ride your Ola Electric Scooter S1 and S1 Pro. After your test ride, you can cancel your scooter until it is shipped from Ola Future Factory. More details regarding the test rides availability will be updated on Ola Electric website.
Delivery of your Ola Electric Scooter:
Starting in October 2021, your scooter will be delivered directly to you, so you don’t have to go to a store. If you are not financed, all you need to do is pay the remaining amount before the scooter ships (few days before shipment). If you are financed, you will need to complete the loan agreement before the scooter ships. Missing the payment date will result in the scooter being reallocated to someone else. Once you complete the purchase, you will get the new delivery date via email.
Users are being prioritized according to their reservation dates on the Ola Electric website. You will be notified of a tentative delivery date once the purchase starts on 8th September.
Ola Electric Scooter Servicing Options & Warranty:
An Ola S1 powered by AI eliminates the need for traditional scheduled maintenance every three or six months with predictive maintenance. In the Ola Electric app, you can schedule a doorstep service if your scooter needs to be repaired or serviced.
- Battery: 3 Years, Unlimited Kilometers Warranty
- Vehicle: 3 Years or 40000 Kilometers Warranty, whichever occurs first
Ola Electric Scooter Subsidies:
The Ola S1 & S1 Pro Electric Scooter is eligible for Central Govt. (FAME II) and State Govt. subsidy.
A valid Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, or driving license will be required for claiming this subsidy. FAME-II subsidy is available only once per type of electric vehicle (two-wheeler, three-wheeler, four-wheeler).
It is not possible to claim the subsidy a second time if you have already applied for the electric 2-wheeler subsidy. Make sure you have claimed the subsidy on the electric 2-wheeler you already own – your invoice will note whether or not you have done so.
State Subsidy:
There are a number of additional subsidies that Indian states offer above and beyond FAME II. Here’s a statewise list of all subsidies. In order to claim the subsidy, you will need to check the subsidy offered in the State where you buy the Ola S1 or S1 Pro.
The State Government of Gujarat, Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, and Odisha offers subsidies at the moment (based on information available on the respective State Government website).
